Correspondent, Our News NE, April 3: As many as 7 student and youth organisations including TAYPA, Ahom Jatiya Ganamancha, ATASU (Milan), Sangrami Yuvachatra Parishad, Anisuchita Jati Chatra Sangha (Mridul Das), Sangrami Sena Asom and a few other organizations today lent open support to Kushal Duwori, the BJP candidate from Sivasagar LAC sending a clear signal to the Opposition candidate Akhil Gogoi that his bid to win Sivasagar LAC for a second term is beset with many hurdles. Bhaskar Borgohain, secretary, ATASU central committee, told to media after a meeting with the BJP candidate in Hotel Skychef today that the people of the constituency will support the ruling party candidate in the interest of development of the constituency. Diganta Tamuli, president, TAYPA, said that the present NDA government is taking the six community ST status issue towards a logical end and hence the Ahom community is convinced that they would be able to give them justice. Chitu Barua, president, Jatiya Sangrami Sena, said that the people of Sivasagar are preparing to give a farewell to Akhil Gogoi in the comming elections after realising their mistake in the earlier election.
